Export your chart and preserve your work
Choose a chart or backup format, understand what it preserves, and check your thread key before printing.

Start from the applied chart
Finish the chart changes you want to export before opening Export. Photo and conversion settings can remain a draft until you choose Update; the export uses the applied chart. Preview, editing, and device saving do not spend credits. A complete result in any of Crosy's eight formats requires sign-in and one 30-credit unlock for that pattern and source photo. Editing and re-exporting that pattern with the same source photo do not spend another unlock. Replacing the source photo requires a new unlock.
Choose the format for the job
- PDF is the printable chart. Choose paper, orientation, sizing, marks, grid, and legend options in the dialog, then print at 100% when physical scale matters. Browser print scaling can change the result on paper.
- PNG, JPG, and WebP are image files for viewing or sharing. SVG is a scalable chart file. These visual formats use the visible board projection; read any off-board warning before downloading.
- Crosy is the editable backup. It retains the complete chart plane, source, metadata, and stitching progress so the project can be reopened in Crosy.
- OXS and FCJSON are exchange formats with narrower boundaries. They do not carry Crosy progress, source, exclusions, or off-board data. FCJSON also expects one supported image, a recognized DMC palette, and supported full Cross data when it is reopened.
Check the marks and key
Use Symbols, Letters, or Numbers according to how you want to read the chart. Every visible mark should be checked against its thread key: the symbol is a chart reference, while the DMC code, color name, quantity, and strands are the thread facts. The symbol reference explains the catalog geometry used by the chart and visual exports.
Reopen and keep a backup
Keep a native Crosy backup when you may need the source, progress, or hidden parts of the full chart later. After downloading, open the file in the intended receiving workflow and confirm that the key and layers are present. An exchange file's successful download alone does not prove that another app will preserve every Crosy field.
