Drawing cells give you room for pencil marks. They do not change the finished stitching. This optional cloth estimate uses your current 40 × 50 grid.
Stitched area: 2.86 × 3.57 in / 7.26 × 9.07 cm.
Calculate fabric with a borderThis estimate does not change your download. Count means squares per inch on Aida or threads per inch on evenweave; Over 2 uses two fabric threads per stitch. Calculation and sources.

Yes. Choose A4 or US Letter and portrait or landscape, then download the matching PDF. Print at 100% / Actual size and check its 50 mm ruler; printer scaling can change it.
Fixed drawing cells can make the grid larger than the printable area. Reduce the squares or cell size, change orientation, or choose Fit to page. Fit changes drawing-cell size explicitly.
No. A 4 mm cell is a drawing square on paper; 14-count describes cloth. A 40 × 50 stitch design on 14-count Aida over 1 is about 2.86 × 3.57 in, regardless of the paper drawing-cell size. Use the fabric calculator for a cloth estimate.
The center passes through the middle square on an odd axis and between squares on an even axis. Enable center marks to locate it; bold lines group every 10 squares.
PDF is the straightforward print option. SVG is a vector alternative for a compatible viewer; its physical millimeter dimensions still depend on the viewer respecting the scale. Both are one page.
