Crosy Dither comparison: original teaching studies Crosy Editorial Team Inputs: two original 480 x 320 PNGs, a smooth teal gradient and four exact flat color bands. Charts: 48 x 32 cells, Maximum colors 4, full rectangular crop, neutral adjustments, no exclusions, no manual edits and no Clean. Within each pair, only Dither changes: Off versus On (Floyd-Steinberg). All 1,536 cells are Crosses; there is no Backstitch. Native .crosy files include the exact source PNG and applied conversion settings. Open through Open project in the editor; keep a backup of existing work first. PDFs have three pages: overview, chart, key. A4 landscape, Fixed 4 mm chart cells. This is reading scale, not fabric scale. SVG and CSV contain the same chart and cell identities. CSV coordinates are one-based from the top left. An isolated cell has no same-color immediate left/right/up/down neighbor. Diagonals do not count. This is a board diagnostic, not a quality, time or thread-usage estimate. Gradient: Off has 0 isolated cells; On has 379; 574 of 1,536 positions change color. Both use the same 4 colors. Flat bands: Off and On both have 0 isolated cells; 0 positions change. Each of the 4 colors has 384 Crosses. Screen colors estimate thread appearance. Physical printing/stitching, other-app import and real-world outcomes were not tested. You may use and adapt these original teaching inputs and example patterns.
